Tron founder and CEO Justin Sun has met with Berkshire Hathaway chairman Warren Buffett for a long-awaited charity lunch. Sun shared his gratitude and enthusiasm in a series of tweets.

Sun met with Warren Buffett in a private non-profit country club in Nebraska in late January. Further guests included Litecoin Foundation founder Charlie Lee, Huobi CFO Chris Lee, Binance Charity Foundation head Helen Hai and eToro CEO Yoni Assia.

Sun won his place at the table with Buffet, known as the “Sage of Omaha” for his investment expertise, in a charity auction on eBay. His winning bid was approximately US$ 4.5m, the highest single bid in the event’s 20-year history, but Sun had to postpone due to medical reasons.

Video streaming event planned

On Twitter, Sun wrote, “I’m thankful for the lessons learned during the dinner w/Warren Buffet & I can’t wait to share this exciting experience with you.” He announced a streaming event today about the insights gathered about blockchain and investment via the channel dlive.

All proceeds from the auction have gone to the San Francisco-based GLIDE Foundation. The non-profit focuses on fighting injustice and inequality on behalf of economically deprived and oppressed people in need, including the homeless, ethnic minorities and LGBTQ communities.
